Kandi: A meeting with all the Panchayat Secretaries of the block was held on Monday in the auditorium of the Kandi Block Office, chaired by Block Development Officer Rakesh Sahay. The meeting discussed law and order and other matters related to the upcoming Holi festival.
Maintaining peace and order was discussed.
Block Development Officer Rakesh Sahay said that Holi symbolizes mutual brotherhood and harmony, so it is everyone’s responsibility to celebrate it in a peaceful environment. He instructed the Panchayat Secretaries to remain vigilant in their respective Panchayat areas and immediately report any untoward incident to the Block Headquarters.
He directed that all Panchayat Secretaries be present at the block headquarters during Holi and work in coordination with the administration. They were also asked to maintain special vigilance at sensitive locations and maintain communication with local public representatives.
The meeting issued instructions to monitor rumors during the festival, monitor the activities of anti-social elements, and coordinate with the police administration if necessary. The BDO appealed to everyone to work with mutual cooperation and vigilance to maintain peace and harmony in the area.
Panchayat Secretary Praveen Kumar Pandey, Santosh Singh, Nitish Kumar, Anjani Prasad, Hussain Ansari, Vishwanath Ram and other Panchayat Secretaries were present in the meeting.
