Majhiaon: A fierce fight broke out on the evening of February 27th during the victory procession of newly elected ward councilor Pradeep Saav of Nagar Panchayat Ward No. 1 in the police station area. Rajkumar Gupta, the ward councilor’s son, and Vinod Kumar Gupta, who was also participating in the procession, suffered head injuries, while doctors reported Prince Kumar’s left hand was fractured.
In this regard, the police have begun an investigation based on a written application submitted by Ward Councilor Pradeep Saav to the police station. Based on the application, a case has been registered against approximately 21 people from Akhauri Tahle village under case number 20/26. It is written in the application that during the victory procession, rival Saurabh Kumar sent his men to beat them up. They were traveling in a tempo and were assaulted under the pretext of abir falling on them.
He has demanded action from the police officer after investigation. On asking the station in-charge Omprakash Toppo, he said that action will be taken after investigation.
Till the time of writing the news, no application was given to the police station by the other party.
