Meral: The road leading to Jogni village, under the Okhargada East Panchayat of the block, has deteriorated, causing significant traffic problems for villagers. People from about half a dozen villages travel to and from the block headquarters using this road, but the road’s poor condition is causing significant difficulties.
In this regard, local villagers, along with young social worker Ashish Kumar Chandravanshi, reported that the road has been in poor condition for nearly ten years, but no initiative has been taken to repair it. Consequently, the road’s condition is worsening day by day.
Villagers said that this road is approximately four kilometers long and is used by people from several nearby villages, including Barkaban, Parsahi, Jogni, and Gurdi Oraon Tola. Due to the poor condition of the road, even walking is difficult. More than a thousand people travel on this route daily.
Under the leadership of young social worker Ashish Kumar Chandravanshi, the villagers have demanded from the district administration that this road should be constructed soon, so that people can get convenience in commuting.
Among those who raised their voice regarding the problem of Jogni road were Mukesh Mehta, Bhagwat Mehta, Vijay Mehta, Rambali Mehta, Ramesh Mehta, Rahul Mehta, Suraj Mehta, Lalji Rajwar, Arun Mehta, Baijnath Keshari, Chandan Mehta, Budhan Chaudhary, Satyendra Mehta and Ramchandra Mehta along with many villagers.
