Meral: Thursday in the police station premises. A peace committee meeting was held on 20th February regarding Holi, Eid, and Ram Navami. The meeting was chaired by Chief Deep Mala Kumari. Public representatives, prominent citizens, and villagers participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, representatives from various panchayats informed the administration of potential problems in their areas during the festivals. Station House Officer Vishnu Kant informed the administration of the government-issued guidelines and instructed them to strictly adhere to them. He called for a ban on the use of firecrackers during the festivals and assured that all problems, large and small, would be resolved before the festivals.
He stated that police forces would be deployed at all sensitive locations during the festival to maintain peace and order. He also appealed to everyone to celebrate the festival in an atmosphere of mutual brotherhood and harmony.
Chief Deep Mala Kumari also urged both the communities to celebrate Holi, Eid and Ram Navami with mutual harmony.
In the meeting, many people including Executive District President Qareeb Ansari, MLA representative Dr. Lalmohan, Mukhiya Sangh President Ramsagar Mahato, Mukhiya Aziz Ansari, Rampratap Saw, Sanjay Bhagat, Harendra Chaudhary expressed their views.
On this occasion, Block Assistant Ramnath Bhagat, CI Sanjeev Pandey, SI Prem Prakash Pandey, Harishankar Ojha, Arvind Sao, Twenty Point Chairman Shambhu Prasad, Mukhiya Gauri Devi, Mukhiya representative Munna Ram, Surendra Goswami, Ravindra Gupta, Jagjivan Ram, Bhola Paswan, Jainendra Singh, Ashok Ram, Tayyab Ansari and many other dignitaries were present.
