Majhiaon: The final match of the Late Munnar Singh and Late Ambika Singh alias Batohi Singh Cricket Tournament, which was going on since 30th January at the Morche Gulab Garden Khol ground in the block area, was completed on 12th February. In which the final match was played between the team of Peepar Khad and the team of Patkhaulia. In which the team of Patkhaulia decided to field after winning the toss. After which, batting first, the team of Piepar Khad scored 152 runs in the stipulated 12 overs. Playing the reply innings, the team of Patkhaulia won with 5 wickets remaining and captured the shield.
A very interesting game was played between the two teams in which the people praised the game a lot and after this, the chief guest was local MLA Naresh Prasad Singh, special guest Morkhe Panchayat head Nirmala Devi, head representative Lalan Prasad Singh, Ranadih head Lalit Baitha, both Kandi Zilla Parishad representatives Sujit Kumar, organizer of the game journalist Anup Kumar Singh and Dinesh Kumar, head representative of Karamdih Panchayat Intekhab Khan, Bodra Panchayat head representative Indal Singh, Rampur Panchayat representative Ramesh Kumar Paswan.
The entire team including the captain of the winning team Chandan Singh alias Chantu Singh and the captain of the winning team Chhotu Singh and all the teams were jointly honored with a trophy and Rs. 21 thousand cash to the winning team and Rs. 12 thousand cash to the runner up. While the man of the match was given to Raja, and the man of the series was given to Patkhaulia team player Naval Kumar. In this game Raju Kumar Singh and Bhim Kumar played the role of umpire while Manu and Bablu Bharti and Aman Singh played the role of commentator.
Addressing the crowd, MLA Shri Singh first congratulated all the players from both teams and said that players should speak in a sporting spirit, as winning and losing are inevitable. He praised the performance of both teams.
The sports committee also requested the MLA to improve the playground. The MLA assured the people that the playground would be built, providing local players with the opportunity to perform better and showcase their athletic talents.
Giving information about the development works done during his tenure as MLA, he said that people have already got into the habit of misappropriation of the MLA fund, which has been questioning the development for Vishrampur assembly constituency, but now this will not happen, only development will be visible. On this occasion, Raju Singh, Vikas Singh, Awadhesh Singh, Ramyas Singh Pramod Singh, Sidhi Singh Satyendra Singh, retired SDO Kameshwar Ram, Vinay Prajapati, Ramchandra Ram, Shyam Sundar Pandey, Subodh Singh Dhananjay Singh, along with a large number of sports lovers and villagers were present.
