Garhwa: Sad news has emerged from the Sagma block area. 55-year-old Lal Bihari Korwa, a resident of Dhobani village in the Dhurki police station area, died after his health suddenly deteriorated during an Akhand Kirtan.
According to reports, Lal Bihari Korwa had arrived on Friday evening to attend an Akhand Kirtan held in Putur village of the Sagma block. He was participating in the kirtan as a flute player. It is reported that around 11:30 pm, he told those present that he was not feeling well. He then stepped outside to rest, only to collapse. By the time people realized what was happening, he was dead. According to preliminary information, he died of a heart attack.
According to family members, Lal Bihari had been ill for several days and was physically weak. Despite this, his love for music drew him to kirtan. Villagers said that he had been a music lover since childhood and would participate uninvited wherever bhajans and kirtans were held. On Friday, despite his family’s disapproval, he walked about eight kilometers to reach Pootuur village.
As soon as news of the incident spread, a wave of grief spread through Dhobani village. The family is inconsolable. It is reported that he had arranged the marriages of his son and daughter this year, but he passed away before that. He leaves behind his wife and four children.
The village is now discussing how the family will be supported. The entire area is in mourning.
