Majhiaon: A Guru Gosthi was organised by the school’s director Lalan Shah on Sunday at the LK Public School campus in the Majhiaon block area. Parents of all students were invited to the programme, in which the presence of at least one parent of each child was ensured. Addressing the seminar, director Lalan Shah urged the parents to sit with their children for at least one hour every morning and evening to study for their better future. He said that parents must check the homework copies of the children and keep a regular watch on their studies.
He especially urged children to avoid bad habits like mobile phones, unnecessary money, and drug abuse. The Director said that bad company can affect a child’s future, so parents should be vigilant and pay attention to their children’s friends and daily routine.
Lalan Shah said that the home environment should be conducive to learning, so that children can study with self-motivation. He also emphasized the importance of sports alongside academics. According to him, sports promote physical and mental development in children, and they can achieve recognition at the district, state, and national levels.
He proudly told that many students who studied under his guidance are today engineers, doctors and working in other high positions, which is a matter of pride for the school and the area.
Highlighting the importance of time, he urged all parents to develop the habit of sending their children to school early, as time is the greatest asset. He also noted that educational resources have evolved significantly compared to the past, providing students with greater access to education.
A large number of students’ parents, guardians, and all the school’s teachers attended the program. The goal of the seminar was to ensure the all-round development of children by establishing coordination between the school and parents.
