The first day of the Ram Katha, organized on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri at the Nargir Ashram in the Garhdevi locality, commenced in a grand and reverent atmosphere. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp jointly by the chief guest, Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar, and special guests SDM Sanjay Pandey, ASP Rahul Dev Baraik, senior social worker Rakesh Pal, and city police station in-charge Sunil Tiwari.
Revered Saint Shri Balaswami Avadhendra Prapannacharya, who came from Ayodhya, and the team of learned Acharyas and musicians who came with him, started the musical Ramkatha with Mangalacharan, due to which the entire atmosphere became devotional.
In his address, Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar appealed to the district residents to celebrate the festival with joy and enthusiasm. He said that we should take inspiration from the dignified character of Lord Rama, as described in the Ramcharit Manas, and strive to embody it in our lives. He described the Ramayana as a way to alleviate life’s stress and guide us on the right path.
SDM Sanjay Pandey, describing the Ramcharit Manas as a timeless text, said that life can be made happy by adopting its high ideals. He added that the Ramayana teaches us the spirit of charity and sacrifice. Senior social worker Rakesh Pal, calling the Ramayana the most popular, said that it has been inspiring humanity to follow the right path for ages.
During the first day’s narration, Saint Balaswami Ji highlighted the relevance of religion and spirituality, stating that whenever unrighteousness increases on Earth, God incarnates to destroy it. During the narration, a captivating description of the marriage of Shiva and Parvati was presented, leaving the devotees moved.
During the event, Ram Katha Committee President Chandan Jaiswal stated that the Ram Katha is being held at Nargir Ashram for the fifth consecutive year, a matter of pride for the entire neighborhood. He credited all the neighborhood residents and volunteers for its success.
On this occasion, the commendable contribution of Jagjivan Baghel, Ward Councilor Vinod Prasad, Munna Mobile, Rajesh Vishwakarma, Dharamnath Jha, Jaishankar Baghel, Devraj Patel, Bharat Keshari, Sanjay Singh Agrahari, Dinanath Baghel, Vikas Thakur, Gautam Sharma, Gautam Chandravanshi, Sonu Baghel, Rakesh Chandra, Shantanu Keshari, Akash Baghel, Vikas Baghel, Karan Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Shubham Chandravanshi along with media in-charge Anshu Kanshykar and other members was made.
