Majhiaon: A grand Iftar party was organized on Monday evening at the residence of Mohammad Ishaq Ahmed and Mohammad Yakub Ahmed, young social workers and contractors for Ahmed Group Private Limited, residents of Jhapahi Tola, Sonpurwa village, in the Majhiaon block area, to mark the holy month of Ramadan. Thousands of dignitaries, social workers, and political figures from more than half a dozen surrounding villages attended the event.
Former Minister Mithilesh Thakur attended the event as the chief guest and was given a grand welcome by the organizers. A cake was cut to celebrate the first birthday of Zaid Ahmed, son of Mohammad Yakub Ahmed, and he was congratulated and wished a long life.
In his address, former minister Mithilesh Thakur said that the holy month of Ramadan symbolizes sacrifice and restraint. During this time, devotees not only observe fasts but also pray for the well-being of their families and the country.
On this occasion, many dignitaries including JMM central member Jawahar Paswan, district president Shambhu Ram, Tanveer Alam, Farid Khan, Manjar Khan, Fujail Khan and district council member Dharmendra Kumar Singh were present as special guests.
At Iftar, all the fasting people broke their fast together and prayed for peace, tranquility, prosperity, and progress in the country. Afterward, everyone enjoyed delicious food. Organizer Mohammad Ahmed explained that the purpose of such events is to strengthen mutual brotherhood and harmony by bringing together people from all communities and groups. A large number of dignitaries from the surrounding villages, including the head cleric of Kamat Madrasa, Qari Safir Ahmed, Dawood, and Chhotu, were present on the occasion.
