Sagma (Garhwa): A major operation was carried out in Sagma village under the police station area as part of the drug eradication campaign. Police destroyed approximately 70 kilograms of Mahua and other materials used in the manufacture of liquor.
Giving information in this regard, Dhurki Police Station in-charge Janardan Raut said that based on a tip-off, a raid was conducted in Sagma village. During the raid, approximately 70 kilograms of Mahua was recovered from a liquor manufacturing site. The liquor dealer fled the scene upon sensing the arrival of the police.
The police destroyed the recovered Mahua on the spot, as well as the materials used in the production of liquor. The station in-charge appealed to the people of the area to immediately inform the police if they encounter any illegal drug trade. The names of those providing information will be kept strictly confidential.
He issued a stern warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade, stating that they would not be spared at any cost. The station in-charge clarified that this campaign is being successfully conducted on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police and such actions will continue in the future.
