Shri Banshidhar Nagar: BJP-supported presidential candidate Rekha Gupta expressed her gratitude to the voters of the Nagar Panchayat at a press conference held at her residence. She said that she heartily thanks all the voters of Shri Banshidhar Nagar, BJP workers, and her family members.
Congratulating the newly elected president, Sadhna Devi, on her victory, she said that regardless of the election results, her commitment to public service would continue as before. “I have lost the election, but I will continue to live among the people, sharing their joys and sorrows, and play the role of a strong opposition,” she said.
On this occasion, MP representative Mukesh Choubey expressed his gratitude to the public and party officials who supported him shoulder to shoulder during the municipal elections. He said that elections involve victory and defeat, and he accepts the mandate he has received.
Meanwhile, BJP city unit president Kumar Kanishka said that the BJP fought the elections with full strength. Some shortcomings remain, which will be reviewed soon to determine the future strategy.
