Majhiaon: A large crowd of devotees is gathering for the Rudra Maha Yagna, held to commemorate the consecration of the newly constructed Shiva temple in the ancient Shiva temple complex of the block area. This religious ritual, which began with a water procession on February 21st, will conclude with the Purnahuti on February 28th.
On the occasion of the yagna, a story from the Shiva Purana was being recited by Anil Mishra, a preacher from Ayodhya. During the story, the story of Shiva and Parvati’s marriage was described in detail, and a large number of devotees were present to listen.
The discourse recounted the rigorous penance of Goddess Parvati, who spent years in the Himalayan mountains seeking Lord Shiva as her husband. It was said that Goddess Parvati performed this penance by consuming only Bel leaves and water, which is why she is also known as Aparna. Ultimately, due to her unwavering devotion and austerity, Lord Shiva married her.
During the sermon, the devotees present, especially the girls, were given the message of virtue, obedience to parents, prayer, and hard work. The emotional description of Shiva’s marriage filled the entire atmosphere with devotion, and the devotees were immersed in the spirit of devotion.
Havan, worship, and religious rituals continue daily at the yagna site. According to the organizers, a special program and feast will be held on the day of the final offering, which is expected to be attended by a large number of devotees.
