Meral: An important meeting was held regarding the annual festival to be organised on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri at the famous Maa Shayar Devi Dham located at Meral block headquarters.
The meeting agreed to hold the temple’s annual festival and the Ramcharitra Manas Navahan Parayan Mahayagna, after which preparations have begun in full swing within the temple premises. Devotees are showing considerable enthusiasm for this.
The committee members have prepared a detailed plan to make the festival a success and grand. Vijay Prasad, president of the Dham Operating Committee, stated that on March 19th, at 8 a.m., a grand procession will be taken out with the participation of public representatives and devotees, distributing urns, chunri, and flags, marking the festival’s inauguration. The Ramcharitra Manas Navahan Parayan Mahayagna will also begin on the same day, lasting nine days.
During the festival, from March 19 to March 27, devotional and cultural programs will be presented every evening by local artists of Mahavir Mandali Bazaar Tola, Azad Navyuvak Sangh Chhah Aana Tola and Jai Bajrang Party Purwara Tola of Meral, so that the devotees can be immersed in the spiritual atmosphere.
On March 27th, after the completion of the yagna, a grand Mahabhandara will be held starting at 3 p.m., where thousands of devotees will partake of the prasad. This will be followed by a grand Bhakti Jagran organized by renowned bhajan singers Aditi Raj and Monu Albela starting at 9 p.m. on March 28th, which will be the main attraction of this festival.
Many dignitaries including Devi Dham Operating Committee Secretary Ravindra Prasad, Treasurer Manoj Jaiswal, Vice President Rupu Mahato, Patron Sanjay Bhagat, Rampreet Thakur, Dev Kumar Jaiswal, Anuj Prasad Jaiswal, Sanjay Mehta, Devendra Sharma, Sanjay Saw, Luv Kush, Santosh Mehta were present in the meeting.
