Sagma: A grand Kalash Yatra was organised on Thursday to mark the consecration of Lord Shiva’s Shivalinga and Lord Hanuman’s statue in the newly constructed temple in Kusmaha Tola, Putur village, in the block area. The Kalash Yatra was organised under the leadership of Mahant Avdhesh Das, and was attended by hundreds of devotees. Devotees collected water from the Maliya River amid Vedic chanting and carried it through the procession to the temple premises. The chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shri Ram” filled the atmosphere along the route, creating a devotional atmosphere.
Yashwant Yadav, along with his wife Savitri Devi, served as the chief host of the event. The Kalash Yatra was enthusiastically attended by the young, old, women, and men of the area. A large crowd of devotees remained present throughout the event.
Many dignitaries, including Tarachand Yadav, Vindeshwar Yadav, Nathu Yadav, Hira Prasad Yadav, Uday Singh, Rama Yadav, Manoj Yadav, Premnath Yadav, Ramanand Yadav, and Virendra Prasad Yadav, were present on this occasion.
The villagers played a commendable role in making the event a success. Along with the religious rituals, a festive atmosphere prevailed throughout the area.
