Majhiaon: The Majhiaon Police arrested two long-absconding individuals against whom warrants had been issued, sending them to jail on Sunday. Both accused individuals were apprehended in separate villages.
Providing details, Station In-charge Omprakash Toppo stated that Ramesh Ram—the 40-year-old son of Firangi Ram, a resident of Morbe village within the police station’s jurisdiction—had been absconding since 2013. Meanwhile, Jitendra Ram (alias Jitendra Kumar)—the approximately 35-year-old son of Dashrath Ram, a resident of Lohar Purwa village—had been absconding since 2019.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested both individuals against whom warrants were pending. Following their arrest, and after completing the necessary legal formalities, both were sent to Garhwa Jail on Sunday. The Station In-charge further informed that, acting under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, a continuous campaign is being conducted to apprehend absconding individuals against whom warrants have been issued. He asserted that anyone within the police station’s jurisdiction against whom a warrant has been issued will be arrested and sent to jail shortly.
