Digital Awareness Camp Organized in Ranitali Village, Villagers Informed About Safe Digital Payments.

Majhiaon: On Thursday, in Ranitali village, under the Rampur Panchayat of the block area, a digital awareness camp was organized by Gurudev Vishwakarma, CFL coordinator of Agra Gati, as directed by the Reserve Bank of India. The program was chaired by Ward Member Meena Devi. A large number of villagers, including members of the tribal Parhiya family, were present.

During the camp, villagers were provided with detailed information regarding financial literacy and digital payments. The primary objective of the program was to encourage people to use digital payment systems safely and consciously, as part of the “Every Payment Digital” campaign. Such programs are being organized at various centers across the district as part of the Digital Payments Awareness Week 2026, organized by the Reserve Bank of India.

Those present at the program were advised not to share OTPs, PINs, or passwords with anyone during digital transactions. Furthermore, it is important to verify the amount and recipient’s name before making any payment. During the awareness campaign, it was also pointed out that cybercriminals often deceive people through phone calls or other means, so everyone needs to be vigilant and cautious.

Villagers were also informed about ways to avoid cyber fraud. They were told that if they encounter any fraud or suspicious transactions, they should immediately file a complaint. For this purpose, they were provided with the toll-free number 1930 issued by the Reserve Bank of India. They also provided the number 7799 022 129 to complain to the Banking Ombudsman.

Jharkhand Gramin Bank’s FLC Rajiv Kumar Dubey, Seema Devi, Ranjana Kumari, Vijay Singh, Jai Singh, Yamuna Singh, and others were present at the event. Through the program, villagers were made aware of the safe use of digital payments and protection against cybercrime.
