Garhwa: A meeting of the residents was held at the Nargir Ashram in the local Garhdevi Mohalla, where it was decided to organize a Ram Katha on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri this year as well. It was unanimously decided that the Ram Katha would be held from March 19th to 26th, while on March 27th, the morning of Ram Navami, a havan (sacred fire ritual) and prasad (prasad) would be distributed.
Hundreds of people present at the meeting cheered and unanimously elected Chandan Jaiswal as the president of the Ramkatha Organizing Committee for the year 2026. Jagjivan Baghel, Ward Councilor Vinod Prasad Kariman, Dharamnath Jha, Rakesh Pal, Sunil Paswan Nagar, Sanjay Thakur, Ajay Singh, Ward Councilor Munna Mobile, Ward Councilor Meera Keshari, Ward Councilor Rajesh Vishwakarma, Sunny Chandravanshi, Bindu Ram, Munna Mistry, Vijay Thakur, Umashankar Mistry, Dilip Pathak, Dwarika Pandey and Guddu Hari were included as patrons of the committee.
Dinanath Pasi was appointed as the secretary of the committee, and Gautam Chandravanshi, Bharat Keshari, and Vikas Thakur were appointed as treasurers. Sudarshan Mehta, Arvind Patwa, Sanjay Singh Agrahari, Rakesh Chandra, Sonu Baghel, Akash Baghel, Vikas Baghel, Shantanu Keshari, Rohit Baghel, and Piyush Kanskar were elected as vice presidents. Devraj Patel and Gyanchand Bind were appointed as head of arrangements. Jaishankar Baghel, Deendayal Paswan, Gautam Sharma, and Vicky Paswan were elected as co-secretaries.
Rahul Kumar, Aniket Gupta, Rohit Chandravanshi, Aditya Keshari, Yogesh Kumar, Neeraj Chandravanshi, Karan Kumar, and Raju Chandravanshi were selected as organization ministers. Sunny Chandravanshi, Shivam Baghel, and Shubham Baghel were given the responsibility of media in-charge. Monu Baghel, Suraj Singh, and Bablu Kumar were given the responsibility of reception, and Pawan Baghel and Shravan Baghel were given the responsibility of decoration.

A Ram Katha will be organized. The Katha will be narrated by the revered saint of Ayodhya, Sri Sri Bal Swami Avadhendra Prapannacharya. He will be accompanied by a group of priests who will conduct the Navah Parayan of the Ramcharitmanas. He stated that the Katha will be musical and will feature live scenes depicting scenes from the Ramayana, which the city residents can enjoy. The Katha will be held daily from 6 pm to 10 pm from Ekam to Ashtami. As part of the program, a massive Kalash Yatra will be held on March 19th, Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, starting at 7 am, and will proceed to Sahijna Chhath Ghat. President Chandan Jaiswal distributed various responsibilities among his young team and urged everyone to contribute wholeheartedly and financially to make the event a success.
The members present in the meeting said that due to the Ramkatha event, an atmosphere of devotion is created in the entire Garhwa city and the entire area including the main road becomes filled with Ram.
