Garhwa: As the municipal elections near, political activity has intensified in the Garhwa Municipal Council area, and the atmosphere is clearly heated. A series of accusations and counter-accusations has begun between contenders for the post of president. In this context, Santosh Kesari, a candidate for the post of president, held a press conference and alleged that statements against him were falsely circulated and banners and posters were torn.
Santosh Kesri stated that some people are circulating his statements on social media in an attempt to damage his political image. He clarified that he is a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-supported candidate and has full loyalty to the party. He said that he is contesting the elections under the guidance of former minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, and that the party is paramount to him.
He alleged that his banners and posters were being removed and torn at night. He filed a complaint at the Garhwa police station and submitted an application to the returning officer, complaining of a violation of the code of conduct. He said that the tearing of posters in the Tandwa area was captured on CCTV footage, which has been submitted to the relevant authorities.
Santosh Kesari has demanded that the administration identify the accused based on CCTV footage, take action, and investigate the matter. Political activity in the Garhwa Municipal Council area continues to intensify, with election fever increasing in the run-up to the municipal elections.
