Meral: Hanuman Pran Pratishtha and Mahayagna was inaugurated on Sunday at Sankhadia hill located at Pachpedi in Meral block with a grand Kalash Yatra of thousands of male and female devotees.
A large number of devotees from dozens of surrounding villages participated in this event, filled with religious fervor and faith. The entire area was immersed in a devotional atmosphere.
The program began in the Mahavir Temple premises with Vedic chanting, worship, and Kalash Sankalp by Acharya Pandit Ramnath Mishra. Under the guidance of the Acharyas, devotees filled Kalash with holy water and took out a procession. The Kalash Yatra started from Pachpedi Sankhariya hill and passed through various routes and reached the river bank in Gatiyarwa village, where Varun was worshipped and the Kalash was filled with water. After this, the devotees returned to the Yagya site.
During the procession, the atmosphere resounded with the sound of bands, devotional songs played on sound systems, and chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Hanuman ki Jai.” Devotees were immersed in devotion with great enthusiasm.
Organizing committee chairman Gangalal Agarwal, Alok Thakur, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sumer Paswan, and Kanchan Pandey, along with other members, stated that the Hanuman Pran Pratishtha and Mahayagna will continue until February 20th. Daily havans, pujas, discourses, bhajan-kirtans, and feasts will be held. The finale will be on February 20th with a purnahuti (full offering) and a grand feast.
Special arrangements have been made for devotees coming from far and wide. Volunteers have been deployed to maintain security and order. Local villagers described this religious event as a matter of pride for the region. They say that such events strengthen social unity and brotherhood.
There is an atmosphere of excitement throughout the region regarding the success of the Mahayagna. Devotees believe that this religious ritual will bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to the region. On this occasion, a large number of male and female devotees, including Harivansh Tiwari, Ramlal Chaudhary, Prateek Agarwal, Mukhiya Aziz Ansari, Mukhiya representative Ravindra Prasad Gupta, and Kanchan Pandey from the Mahayagna Committee, were present.
